My Grandfather, William Salter, was born in Shropshire in 1883 and killed in action in 1915. Before the war, he had worked as an artist and signwriter, and, like most countrymen at that time, he was an active fisherman.

When, in 2009, I decided to source and sell a range of traditional style fishing tackle, I wanted a name to reflect classic British style and design, and thought of his.

I'm sure he would be proud of the products on sale in his name.
